- Dec 2005, Demo version will probably be released
in January 2006.
- Jan 2006, Wheels On Fire available. The game
will be in demo mode and feature 2 cars, 2 courses and 2 weapons. For
full version features please go to features section.
- Jan 24 2006, Wheels On Fire has some major multiplayer
bugs. Hopefully this will be fixed in patch 1.1 which will be released
in the near future. Patch 1.1 will also add atleast one new car and
one new course. Stay tuned.
- Jan 31 2006, The network bugs have been eliminated
and we are now in the final stages of testing. No release date for version
1.1. Version 1.1 won't be compatible with earlier versions so you will
have to download a new version. We are sorry for any inconvenience!
- Feb 4 2006, Version 1.1 will be delayed for
a little longer because of a complete remake of the interface.
- Feb 19 2006, Version 1.1 will be released in
the following days. We are sorry for the delay. Version 1.1 will add
2 new cars: Warthog and Penguin, 2 new courses Four Platforms (S) and
Highlands (C). A new weapon is available too, namely the mortar.
- Feb 21 2006, Wheels On Fire version 1.10 released
to the public after almost three weeks of just testing. You can grab it
here Please remove
any file left from previous versions, prior to installation. Wheels
On Fire is a multiplayer game and should be played as one. Don't judge
the game by playing against the AI, that is not what this game was designed
for.
- Mar 02 2006, You can now advertise in Wheels On Fire.
Advertisment can be for example a splash screen or road signs.

- Mar 21 2006, Development put on hold due to lack of funds.
- Mar 22 2006, Some users experienced trouble running version 1.10 so
we decided to make a patch, although development is halted. This patch will fix some bugs and
it will fix connection errors when course is complete. You can get patch 1.11
here
- Apr 24 2006, We have started development again. Information and new patches
will be posted here.
- May 12 2006, Development of the next version (1.12) is proceeding as planned.
Split screen is now supported for up to four players. Information on new courses, weapons and cars
will be released soon.
- Jun 27 2006, We are sorry that we have kept silent so long. There has been a number of issues with the new version. But it will be released soon.
- Dec 18 2006, Due to
a complete engine rebuild and some unfortunate misshaps we have been
delayed. However a patch will be released in January to fix some issues
with connecting. A new Wheels on Fire based on the new engine will be
released in the near future. The features will be posted here and those
who bought the game will get the next game for free!
- Jan 2007, Patch 1.12 is complete. You can get it here. Just unzip it to your Wheels On Fire directory. This is the
final patch for Wheels On Fire as we are currently putting our effort into the new engine. Stay tuned.
